Terms of Service
Last updated October 22, 2026
1. The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Black Lion Media, Inc. ("Black Lion Media", "we", "us"). They cover the Rooftop Zombie Defense game (the "Game"), this website, and the web store (together, the "Services"). By playing the Game, using this website, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to make purchases, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. The Game is not directed to children under 13.
If you downloaded the Game from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Game or its content.
2. Your license to play
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Game, or use cheats, bots, or unauthorized software that changes how it works.
3. Gold, Overdrive and other virtual items
The Game includes virtual currency ("Gold") and virtual items such as Overdrive. These are part of your license to use the Game. They are not your property, have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for real money or anything of value outside the Game, and cannot be transferred or sold to another player or person. We may change, rebalance, or discontinue virtual items as the Game evolves.
Your progress and items are tied to your Player ID on your device. If you delete the Game or lose your device before signing in to a supported save feature, we may not be able to restore them.
4. Purchases
In the app. Purchases made inside the Game on iPhone are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
On this website. Web store purchases are made through Stripe Managed Payments. For these purchases, Stripe (or one of its affiliates) acts as the reseller and merchant of record: it sells the item to you, processes your payment, calculates and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT, and is the name on your receipt and card statement. Black Lion Media provides the items and delivers them to your Game, and remains responsible for the Game itself. Stripe's own terms for buyers may also apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars before any taxes, which are calculated at checkout. When you buy, you choose the Player ID that receives the items; please make sure it's correct. Items are delivered to that Player ID the next time the Game is opened with an internet connection. We are not responsible for purchases sent to a Player ID you entered by mistake, though we'll try to help if you contact support.
We may refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, if a price was clearly shown in error, or if the item is no longer available. If we cancel a paid order, we'll refund it.
5. Refunds
Because virtual items are delivered digitally, web store purchases are generally final once they've been delivered to the Game. We will refund a web purchase if:
- the items were never delivered to your Game and we can't fix it;
- you were charged more than once for the same order; or
- you ask within 14 days of purchase and the items haven't been collected in the Game yet.
To request a refund, contact support with your order number. Because Stripe is the merchant of record for web store purchases, Stripe may also issue a refund directly in some cases, such as within 60 days of purchase to resolve a problem, or where a cooling-off period applies under local consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live. If a payment is refunded or reversed, we may remove the related items from your Game.
6. Fair play
Please don't exploit bugs, use automation or modified clients, abuse the payment system, or interfere with the Services or other players. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
7. Ownership
The Game and everything in it, including its art, characters, music, sounds, code, and the Rooftop Zombie Defense name and logo, belong to Black Lion Media or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms don't give you any rights to them other than the license above.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Black Lion Media will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress, or virtual items. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Changes and ending the Services
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the Game or on this site. Continuing to use the Services after changes means you accept them. We may change or discontinue the Services or any part of them; if we shut down the Game entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
